Overview of Business

We are currently partnered with a 5* PLC housebuilder who are looking for a Senior Quantity Surveyor to join their team based in North Scotland. Our client are about to embark on an exciting growth trajectory, they will be increasing the new homes delivered by 50% over the next three years.

Job description

The role will have the commercial and surveying responsibilities for large sites and will have clear targets to be met for each site. COINS is the current system used and they are looking for someone with the aptitude to embrace this system.

  • Prepare and advise on tender documentation required to enable comprehensive tender submissions to be returned from market
  • Responsible for all cost control procedures, including managing and controlling the budget and valuations by always updating the estimated final costs, and having the ability to show absolute cost and value reconciliation.
  • Must be able to control all commercial tasks and responsibilities on large sites.
  • Contribute to the conceptual designs/options to ensure the design is kept within the budgeted values.
  • Compile Site Start budget, liaising with all Departments to ensure document is completed on time to allow the construction to commence, and Sales to start marketing
  • Analyse and report on costs and cash flow using the support systems available.
