Base Operative

A vacancy has arisen for a Base Operative at our Altens site. Duties will include receiving and checking goods and materials, preparing, loading and unloading of containers, preparing equipment for backload to vendors, general yard and warehouse duties. Candidate should hold Forklift certificates, Manual Handling and Dangerous Goods by sea awareness and have a good working knowledge Microsoft Office Packages. Candidates with Opito Banksman Slinger would also be an advantage.

The successful candidate will have to demonstrate good communication skills, have a strong focus on customer satisfaction, the ability to promote good team working and demonstrate an excellent awareness of health and safety. They should also be able to work in an environment with tight deadlines and be able to organise and prioritise competing demands with ease.
