- My client, a global engineering services business based in Aberdeen, is looking for a Service Technician / Service Engineer.
- The ideal candidate should have a minimum of 5 years of experience in servicing offshore port or marine cranes.
- This role primarily involves commissioning, maintenance, inspection, and servicing of cranes and lifting equipment, with travel to additional sites required.
- The position offers a competitive base salary ranging from £30,000 to £35,000, with an on-target earnings (OTE) potential of £50,000 to £60,000 including a performance/retention bonus.
- Candidates should possess strong skills in electrical and/or hydraulic engineering and a valid BOSIET certification.

Package:
Base salary £30,000- £35,000
Day rate for offshore assignments OTE £50,000- £60,000
Performance / retention bonus
31 days holiday (including bank holidays)

Responsibilities:
Commissioning, maintenance, inspection, and servicing of cranes and lifting equipment both onshore and offshore
Diagnosing and repairing faults in electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems
Performing rigging and lift planning activities
Generating detailed service and inspection reports
Ensuring compliance with safety and operational standards
Requirements:
Multi-discipline background or experience with crane OEM commissioning
Minimum 5 years experience in servicing offshore port, or marine cranes
Strong skills in electrical and/ or hydraulic engineering
Valid BOSIET certification
Comfortable working independently in remote or offshore environments
Rigging certification is advantageous
Proficiency in reading and interpreting engineering drawings
