Môrwell Talent Solutions is proud to be partnering exclusively with a growing and dynamic player in the FMCG sector to recruit a Group Cost Management Accountant.

This is a key, high-profile role within the Group Finance function and offers an exciting opportunity for a commercially minded accountant with strong costing expertise to shape and lead the implementation of standard costing across multiple manufacturing sites.

The Role

Reporting to the Group Finance Director, you’ll work closely with operations, production, and commercial teams to design and manage a robust costing structure across the Group. Your remit will include standard costing implementation, SKU-level margin tracking, stock valuation, and variance analysis.

Regular travel across group sites will be part of the role, offering excellent business visibility and the chance to influence strategic decisions at both site and group level.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain standard cost accounting systems
  • Analyse variances and provide clear recommendations
  • Collaborate with site teams to ensure accurate stock valuation and margin reporting
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and drive improvements
  • Present clear financial insights to senior stakeholders

About You

  • ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified (or part-qualified with strong relevant experience)
  • Proven experience in cost or management accounting, ideally within FMCG or manufacturing
  • Strong Excel and ERP systems knowledge (e.g., Sage, SAP, Access)
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Highly analytical, proactive, and detail focused
  • Willing and able to travel to various sites as required
