Role: Senior IT Field Delivery Engineer  Wales

Location: Field-based (Wales)

Contract Type: Permanent

Salary Package: Competitive base salary plus large company benefits, a flexible benefits scheme, and two paid volunteering days per year

Hours: 9:00 am - 5:30 pm, Monday to Friday

Role Purpose:

To attend various sites across Wales to provide IT support for hardware and software, ensuring services are delivered efficiently and in line with agreed Service Level Agreements (SLAs).

Please note: Security clearance, or a willingness to apply, will be required for this role.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose, repair, and maintain IT hardware (PCs, laptops, printers, and peripherals) across multiple sites. May also include basic support for servers, AV, telephony, and network infrastructure.
  • Resolve operating system and application-related incidents in line with defined procedures.
  • Deliver IMAC (Install, Move, Add, Change) work to required specifications.
  • Maintain regular communication with relevant internal teams and site contacts throughout the working day.
  • Handle part replacements (including RMA generation and physical movement) efficiently and accurately.
  • Meet the key performance indicators (KPIs) set for your role.
  • Adhere to local site-specific fire, security, and health and safety regulations.
  • Ensure all incidents are logged, updated, and closed on the IT service management (ITSM) tool within SLA.
  • Keep up to date with new technologies and maintain relevant knowledge and skills.
  • Participate in 24/7 rota cover (where applicable).
  • Work occasional overtime when required.
  • Support team productivity by mentoring other engineers where appropriate.
  • Maintain company equipment in good working condition.
  • Be familiar with applicable site policies and procedures.
  • Produce or update technical documentation when required.
  • Carry out any other reasonable duties as requested by your line manager.

Skills and Experience:

  • Full UK driving licence
  • Excellent customer-facing and communication skills
  • Professional and presentable at all times
  • Self-motivated and well-organised, with the ability to work independently
  • Able to obtain required Government and/or Police security clearance (unrestricted)
  • Relevant technical certifications (or ability to obtain them)
  • Minimum CompTIA A+ qualification or equivalent experience
  • Familiarity with operating system admin tools, application support, and telephony
  • Able to work at height and perform manual handling tasks
  • Demonstrates positive behaviours that support teamwork and productivity
