Locum Employment Lawyer – Remote Working – Wales - £55 Umbrella A new opportunity has arisen for a Locum Employment Lawyer to join a reputable Local Authority in Wales. This assignment is offered on a full or part time basis for an initial duration of three months, subject to potential extension thereafter. Hybrid working is preferred but the client is open to considering flexible working arrangements for the right candidate.   This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified Solicitor, Legal Executive or Barrister with previous Employment Law experience to become a part of a well-established local authority. Daily duties may include: 

  • Conducting a high standard of Employment work and have TUPE knowledge  
  • Providing advice to Senior Managers in Council departments and other Officers and staff in HR on a wide range of employment law issues and claims made against the Authority 
  • Having a very good client working relationship, with the ability to pick up complex work 
  • Undertaking both contentious and non-contentious employment respondent work 
  • Conducting a caseload which may include claims relating to Sex discrimination, Race Discrimination, Unfair Dismissal, Constructive Dismissal, Disability Discrimination, Age Discrimination and Redundancy 

 An umbrella rate of £55 per hour DOE is offered for this position.
