We are looking for an experienced Site Manager to oversee fire protection works on a live site in the Aberystwyth area. You will be responsible for the day-to-day management of site operations, ensuring work is delivered safely, to programme, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The role involves close coordination with the Project Manager and wider delivery team.

Key Responsibilities

Health and Safety

  • Implement HSEQ (Health, Safety, Environmental, and Quality) and business systems

  • Ensure operatives wear correct PPE and maintain a safe working environment

  • Oversee site signage, welfare facilities, and end-of-day safety procedures

  • Promote a culture of health and safety compliance at all times

Project Delivery

  • Conduct initial project brief and determine works phasing

  • Review and coordinate specifications, drawings, and schedules

  • Produce short-term programmes aligned with overall project timeline

  • Ensure timely ordering and delivery of materials

  • Monitor quality of works and address issues proactively

  • Carry out weekly stock checks and report progress to the line manager

Team Management

  • Direct workflow and delegate tasks to operatives and subcontractors

  • Monitor productivity and provide feedback or coaching where needed

  • Uphold company policies and procedures, including disciplinary action if required

  • Support the delivery team in daily site admin and documentation

Client & Company Representation

  • Act as a professional point of contact for stakeholders on site

  • Uphold company values, procedures, and presentation standards

  • Attend meetings and support customer care initiatives as required

Required Certifications

  • SMSTS

  • CSCS

  • First Aid

  • Fire Warden

  • Asbestos Awareness

  • NVQ in a trade background (desirable)
