Reed Finance are supporting an innovative client in their search for a Financial Accountant to join their mission-driven organisation.

This perm role sits within a small Finance team and comes with clear progression opportunities. Currently reporting to the Group Finance Director the mid-term plan for this role is to evolve into that of Financial Controller. To be considered for this role you will be fully qualified (ACA, ACCA, CIMA) with demonstrable experience with Group consolidation and intercompany transfers. You will be technically astute, thrive in a fast-paced environment, and be confident presenting on the financial health of the business to senior management.

Key responsibilities:

  • Preparing the monthly UK and US management accounts and associated balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Maintaining revenue recognition and revenue deferral schedules
  • Producing the monthly group consolidation including currency revaluations and Interco eliminations and preparing the group reporting pack.
  • Partnering with overseas accounts teams to deliver accurate financial data
  • Liaising and collaborating with non-finance teams and colleagues, in particular the People Team
  • Preparing quarterly VAT returns
  • Preparing a bi-weekly consolidated cashflow, liaising with program managers and other stakeholders to produce a delta analysis
  • Assisting with annual audit, tax, and group financial statements
  • Monthly UK Payroll
  • Supporting the Group FD with appropriate ad hoc

You will be naturally curious, able to work autonomously, and bring new ideas to the table. You will be a natural problem-solver and have an eye for where processes can be improved and streamlined.

Salary offered is circa £65k
