Quality Engineer - High-Integrity / Regulated Manufacturing
Location: Abingdon
Salary: 48,000 + Training + Progression + Flexitime + Early Friday Finish


Are you a Quality Engineer who thrives in complex, regulated environments?
Do you enjoy owning NPI, APQP and "right-first-time" delivery from concept through to production?


This is a great opportunity to join a highly technical engineering business supplying critical products into safety-led, high-integrity industries. You'll play a key role in ensuring new and existing products meet the highest quality, compliance and traceability standards, while working closely with engineering, manufacturing, suppliers and customers.


The Role
You'll be the quality lead within project teams, supporting New Product Introduction and driving robust quality planning from day one. The focus is on prevention, not firefighting, ensuring products are compliant, traceable and delivered right first time.
Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading APQP and NPI activities from feasibility through to volume production
  • Owning PPAP submissions and ensuring manufacturing readiness
  • Managing non-conformances, root cause analysis and corrective actions
  • Leading internal, external and supplier audits, including special processes
  • Ensuring full traceability, lifetime records and material certification
  • Supporting process validation, control plans and capability studies
  • Acting as a key interface between engineering, manufacturing, suppliers and customers

What They're Looking For

  • Quality Engineer within a regulated or high-integrity manufacturing environment
  • Strong working knowledge of APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, MSA and Root Cause Analysis
  • Experience supporting NPI and transition from prototype to production
  • Confident dealing with audits, suppliers and customers
  • Able to read engineering drawings and understand manufacturing processes
  • Background in nuclear, defence, aerospace, pressure equipment or similar environments is highly desirable
