CNC Operator
Location: Didcot
Salary: £30,000 - £33,000 per annum
Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am - 5:30pm
Type: Full-time, Permanent
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CNC Operator to join a growing manufacturing team based in Didcot. As a CNC Operator, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC machines to produce precision components for sectors such as electronics, aerospace, and industrial manufacturing.
Key Responsibilities:
Configure and set up CNC machines according to technical specifications.
Operate CNC machinery to perform milling, turning, and drilling tasks, ensuring high standards of safety and quality.
Monitor machine operations and inspect finished products to meet quality requirements.
Perform routine maintenance, calibrations, and troubleshoot mechanical issues.
Maintain accurate records of setups, production logs, and tooling data.
Collaborate closely with engineers and technicians to meet production targets and resolve technical challenges.
Essential Requirements:
2 years’ experience in CNC machining (including apprenticeships).
Experience in a precision engineering environment.
Strong organisational skills and the ability to work both independently and within a team.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
High level of attention to detail and a hands-on approach.
Willingness to work afternoon shifts.
Desirable:
Experience working with metal additive manufacturing or near-net shape parts.
