We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented CNC Operator to join a growing manufacturing team based in Didcot. As a CNC Operator, you will be responsible for setting up, operating, and maintaining CNC machines to produce precision components for sectors such as electronics, aerospace, and industrial manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Configure and set up CNC machines according to technical specifications.

  • Operate CNC machinery to perform milling, turning, and drilling tasks, ensuring high standards of safety and quality.

  • Monitor machine operations and inspect finished products to meet quality requirements.

  • Perform routine maintenance, calibrations, and troubleshoot mechanical issues.

  • Maintain accurate records of setups, production logs, and tooling data.

  • Collaborate closely with engineers and technicians to meet production targets and resolve technical challenges.

Essential Requirements:

  • 2 years’ experience in CNC machining (including apprenticeships).

  • Experience in a precision engineering environment.

  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to work both independently and within a team.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).

  • High level of attention to detail and a hands-on approach.

  • Willingness to work afternoon shifts.

Desirable:

  • Experience working with metal additive manufacturing or near-net shape parts.
