Contracts Manager, Electrical. The Role: I am recruiting a Contracts Manager with Electrical expertise, on behalf of Advanced Electrical Systems. The business is well-established, with an excellent reputation and was acquired by the current MD nearly 2 years ago. The MD has ambitious plans for the future, and the successful Contracts Manager will play an instrumental part in the growth and on-going success of the business, and will be rewarded accordingly. You will be responsible for overseeing multiple high-end residential electrical projects, developing excellent client relationships, liaising with designers, architects, subcontractors, and main contractors and leading your team of Electricians, ensuring all projects are delivered to the highest standard possible.

The Person: The successful Contracts Manager will be an excellent electrician and project manager, a motivational manager and a strong relationship builder. You will be commercial astute and as comfortable in an office as you are on-site, keen to implement new processes and technology which will enhance efficiency and project delivery. You will also be hard-working, ambitious and driven, eager to make a valued contribution to a growing business as a member of the senior management team.

The Company: Advanced Electrical Systems are a well-established, independent electrical contracting company who have a reputation for excellence. They specialise in high-end residential projects, conversions and additions, working on graded and high net worth country homes. Based in Oxfordshire (OX13), projects are predominantly located along the M4 corridor, from London to the Cotswolds.

Contracts Manager, Responsibilities:

• Oversee multiple high-end, residential electrical construction projects.
• Site surveys, site visits and client meetings.
• Develop strong client relationships and build high levels of trust.
• Liaise with designers, architects, subcontractors, and main contractors.
• Deal with contract and project documentation and agree the project deliverables.
• Lead, manage and motivate a team of c. 10 electricians.
• Obtain regular progress reports and resolve any issues that arise.
• Implement new processes and technologies to enhance performance and project delivery.
• Ensure projects are delivered on time, to budget and to exceptional quality standards.
• Establish safe working practises in line with H&S legislation.

Contracts Manager, Skills and experience required:

• A qualified Electrician - 18th edition wiring regulations and City & Guilds 2396 Level 4 (or equivalent).
• Supervisory experience, a knowledgeable and motivational leader.
• Experience of working on/overseeing multiple electrical construction projects (either residential or commercial projects).
• Project management experience, keen to take ownership of project delivery.
• An excellent relationship builder, demonstrating confidence and diplomacy when dealing with clients and team members.
• Commercially astute, confident in an office environment and with implementing new processes and technology to enhance efficiency and project delivery.
• An excellent communicator, both verbally and in writing.
• A strong team player who is ambitious, self-motivated and driven, keen to make a significant contribution to the growth of a progressive and ambitious business.
