We are seeking a proactive Risk Analyst to support in identifying, assessing, managing and reporting risks and assumptions at Strategic, Tranche and Project level. You will work closely with project managers and other stakeholders to ensure that risks and assumptions are effectively managed across the portfolio of work.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the Risk & Dependencies Manager in delivery of the risk across the organisation to ensure proper identification and escalation of key risks to enable effective decisions to be made.
  • Support with the implementation of enterprise risk management frameworks, tools, and processes across the organisation.
  • Facilitate risk workshops and support project teams in developing comprehensive risk registers.
  • Support in the programme of risk & assumption reviews with key stakeholders on a periodic basis and escalate risk queries to the Risk Manager.
  • Support the Risk Team with reporting streams monthly which may include many varied tasks like presenting data, taking minutes, gathering & interpreting data on a strategic level.
  • Support Risk & Dependencies Manager in QRA Modelling (PRA/@Risk)
  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Challenge PMs and teams on risk and advise on improvements where necessary.
  • Monitor the risk management process including seeking timely updates from Strategic, Tranche and Project risk register owners as part of the many reporting streams.
  • Monitor risk trends and escalate emerging risks, issues or out of tolerance risks as appropriate.
  • Assist in roll out of chosen risk management tool, undertaking admin role and training to staff

Skills & Experience:

  • Proven experience in a risk analyst role, ideally with an understanding of Enterprise Risk Management / Major programmes of work.
  • Understanding of risk management principles (ISO 31000, MoR, etc.).
  • Proficiency in risk tools such as ARM, @Risk, CGR, PREDICT or similar.
  • Excellent reporting and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.

Qualifications:

  • Degree in Engineering, Project Management, Risk Management, or a related field.
  • Professional certification (e.g., APM Risk Certificate, PMI-RMP, IRM) is advantageous but not essential.

Excellent interpersonal skills to enable effective working relationships to be developed with people in a wide range of roles and levels of responsibility.

Excellent IT skills, including good knowledge of Office 365 and the office suite (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)

Analytical and independent thinking who can confidently express their views, solve problems, and work out what needs to be done and take pride in doing it to conclusion.

Have strong writing skills and be able to communicate key messages clearly and succinctly at all levels, utilising a range of communication methods.
