As the Deputy Manager, you’ll be supporting the Registered Operations Manager with the day to day running of a high quality and consistent domiciliary care service. You’ll lead a committed and competent staff team on a day to day basis, ensuring that care is delivered to a high standard and that the business flourishes.

The Deputy Manager role

  • Supervise and support the office staff so that they are well-equipped to deliver their roles to a high standard.
  • Monitoring of services to ensure that care is delivered at the right time and for the correct duration and that carers are skilled to meet the needs of the client.
  • Deputise on a regular basis when the Registered Manager is out of the office
  • Ensure that problems or issues are identified and resolved promptly
  • Hold regular team meetings and supervision with staff
  • Ensure that CQC KLOE’s are being met and complete effective quality monitoring
  • Implementation of new care packages
  • Develop good relationships with the commissioning teams
  • Undertake personal training to develop your skills ready for a Registered Manager role

What we’re looking for;

  • An experienced Deputy Manager / Care Manager with a background in managing domiciliary care / homecare staff
  • Somebody with the ability to manage the office effectively in the absence of the Registered Manager
  • Somebody with the drive and determination to progress into the Registered Manager role in future.
  • Good knowledge of CQC standards
  • QCF 3 / NVQ 3 in social care, and willingness to complete level 5
  • Driver with own vehicle
