Mechanical Assembler
Location: Abingdon
Salary: £34,000 - £38,000 per annum
Hours: Monday to Friday, 9:00am 5:30pm
Type: Full-time, Permanent
We’re looking for experienced Mechanical Assembler to help bring these advanced systems to life. You'll be hands-on with the mechanical and electrical assembly of compact, high-performance systems, playing a vital role in the development, testing, and refinement of next-generation technologies.
What You'll Be Doing as an Mechanical Assembler:
- Assembling mechanical and electrical components
- Assisting in test setups, instrumentation, and data collection
- Conducting inspections and troubleshooting
- Collaborating with engineers on quality and process improvement
- Maintaining production records, inventory, and purchasing logs
- Driving improvements in safety, efficiency, and cost
What We’re Looking For as an Mechanical Assembler:
Essential:
- Solid experience with mechanical assembly
- Ability to follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) and quality systems
Desirable:
- Experience in a production/manufacturing environment
- Background in scaling up assembly systems or manufacturing facilities
- Familiarity with drafting SOPs and improving manufacturing processes
