Job Title: Paint Sprayer / Warehouse Assistant


Join our dynamic team as a Paint Sprayer in Abingdon, where you'll play a crucial role in ensuring our geared motors are expertly painted and our warehouse operations run smoothly. Your primary focus will be on spray painting gearboxes and motors, while also providing essential logistical support in the warehouse and contributing to assembly work. This diverse role offers an exciting opportunity to blend craftsmanship with operational excellence.

Key Duties/Main Responsibilities:

  • Expertly apply high-quality spray paint finishes to gearboxes and motors, ensuring precision and attention to detail in every job.
  • Engage in a range of logistical tasks, including unloading shipments, organising inventory, picking components, and carefully packing boxes/pallets. You will also be responsible for loading shipments for dispatch, guaranteeing timely and accurate delivery.
  • Maintain a tidy and organised warehouse environment, ensuring all tools and materials are stored safely and efficiently.
  • Actively assist in running our perpetual inventory counting system, ensuring stock levels are accurate and up-to-date.
  • Be prepared to cover standard cases/motor modifications as required, demonstrating flexibility and commitment to team success.
  • Undertake any other reasonable tasks as requested by the Operations Manager or Directors, ensuring alignment with company goals and business needs.
  • Consistently follow Nord Gear Ltd policies, with a strong focus on adhering to Fire and Health & Safety Regulations.

Personal Requirements:

  • Demonstrate meticulous attention to detail in all tasks, ensuring high-quality outcomes.
  • Exhibit a flexible approach to work, adapting to the needs of the business and supporting colleagues as required.

Education / Experience:

  • GCSE or equivalent in Maths & English.
  • Previous experience in spray painting and warehouse operations is highly desirable. However, necessary training will be provided for the right candidate.

Performance Measures:

  • Maintain a high standard of departmental work, with minimal returns or credits.
  • Consistently achieve high levels of productivity and on-time delivery.
  • Contribute to a safe, clean, and efficient work environment.
  • Ensure high accuracy in perpetual inventory counting.
