Senior Planner - Abingdon

We are delighted to be supporting a well-established, multidisciplinary consultancy in their search for a Senior Planner to join their experienced team in Abingdon. With a strong reputation for delivering planning and design services across a wide range of sectors, this is an excellent opportunity for an ambitious planner to further their career within a supportive and forward-thinking environment.

The RoleAs a Senior Planner, you will:

  • Lead and manage a variety of planning projects, from residential and commercial schemes through to mixed-use developments.

  • Prepare, submit and manage planning applications and appeals.

  • Undertake planning appraisals and provide professional advice to clients.

  • Engage with local authorities, stakeholders and community groups.

  • Contribute to the growth and development of the planning team.

About YouThe successful candidate will ideally have:

  • An RTPI-accredited degree or postgraduate qualification.

  • Chartered membership of the RTPI (or working towards it).

  • A minimum of 3-5 years' experience in planning consultancy or local authority.

  • Strong project management, report writing and communication skills.

  • Commercial awareness and the ability to build and maintain client relationships.
