Class 1 Personnel are working with a national client to recruit a Hiab Driver for their site based in Abingdon in Oxfordshire. You will be delivering customers' products to the required premises ensuring all customers receive exceptional customer service as part of a multi-drop delivery route. The driver will ensure that all products are transported safely to the customers' premises, treating their freight as if it were their own.

LOGISTICS DISTRIBUTION AND SUPPLY CHAIN

Experience needed for HGV2 Hiab Driver:

  1. Valid HGV 2 licence
  2. CPC card
  3. Tacho Card
  4. Valid Hiab ALMI certificate
  • Essential Criteria for Hiab Driver in Abingdon:
  • Must hold full driving licence with HGV2 eligibility.
  • Maximum of 6 points on licence and no bans
  • Takes pride in delivering exceptional customer service.
  • Must have relevant HIAB certification


Main job description for the Hiab Driver:

  • Drive vehicles in a safe and legal manner always ensuring compliance with all legal and company requirements.
  • All daily checks are undertaken ensuring defects are immediately reported and correct paperwork complete.
  • Always observe procedures and policies.
  • Manage your routing to ensure premium and timed deliveries are achieved.
  • Ensure the correct equipment and PPE, (personal protective equipment) is in good order and always used.
  • Deal with any customer issues in a polite and effective manner.

Ideal Qualities:

  • Good attention to detail
  • Good level of physical fitness
  • Reliability and good time keeping skills.
  • previous experience with deliveries is preferred

Monday to Friday 7am to 4pm (min 8hrs paid) 18.50ph
