About the Job

Reporting to the Deputy Payroll Manager, you will be responsible for the accurate and timely processing of payroll for the distribution teams. This is a hands-on role involving monthly reconciliations, close liaison with HR, and contribution to the continuous improvement of payroll processes.

Duties will include:

  • Preparing and processing monthly payroll, ensuring deadlines are met
  • Collaborating with HR to resolve queries and streamline communication
  • Carrying out monthly variance reconciliations and preparing management reports
  • Providing professional responses to employee and HR payroll enquiries
  • Assisting in documenting payroll procedures and supporting training materials
  • Ensuring all processes adhere to financial controls and governance policies
  • Championing a customer-focused approach within the payroll function

About the Successful Applicant

You will have a minimum of one year’s experience in a payroll role and solid understanding of statutory payroll elements including pensions and salary sacrifice. Strong Excel skills are essential, particularly in using pivot tables and formulas. You’ll be methodical, detail-oriented, and confident communicating across departments. A CIPP qualification would be an advantage but is not required.
