We are seeking a skilled Fitter to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of mechanical systems and be able to work effectively in a fast-paced environment. As a Fitter, you will play a crucial role in assembling, installing, and maintaining various components and systems, ensuring that all work meets the highest standards of quality and safety.
Duties
- Assemble and fit components according to specifications and engineering drawings.
- Install machinery and equipment, ensuring proper alignment and functionality.
- Conduct routine maintenance checks on equipment to ensure optimal performance.
- Troubleshoot mechanical issues and perform necessary repairs.
- Collaborate with other team members to complete projects efficiently and effectively.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Document work completed and report any discrepancies or issues to management.
Experience
- Proven experience as a Fitter or in a similar role within the manufacturing or engineering sector is preferred.
- Strong understanding of mechanical systems, tools, and machinery.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications.
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work well within a team environment.
- Familiarity with health and safety regulations relevant to the industry is advantageous.
