If so, then I have a Mechanical Design Engineer role for you! My client are one of the leading engineering manufacturers in Lancashire. They have a global client base and are renowned for offering best in class products to a number of industries.
This great company are now seeking an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer to join their team. The role will involve designing precision engineered products, such as valves and pressure vessels for demanding applications, where often exotic materials are required.
The role responsibilities will include:
- 3D Design of precision engineeredproducts
- Design for Manufacture
- Completing stress analysis and geometric tolerancing
- Some FEA
- Process Design Improvement
- Problem Solving
- Working closely with manufacturing team
The ideal candidate will be able to boast the following experience:
- 4 Years plus experience in Mechanical Design
- Design of precision machined or casted products essential
- 3D CAD experience
- Ability to substantiate designs (Use of Mathcad beneficial)
- Process Equipment experience Ideal
- Good knowledge of manufacturing processes is needed
- Strong aptitude to learn and problem solve
- Knowledge of different materials would be useful
- Excellent communication skills
