Buying and Planning: Your Key Responsibilities
  • Support the buying team with clear, effective coordination of planning and buying activities, ensuring smooth end-to-end processes
  • Monitor sales data and analyse product performance to support commercial decisions, driving improvement and profitability
  • Work closely with internal teams and external suppliers to ensure product availability and timely delivery
  • Assist in setting, tracking, and achieving sales and margin targets, proactively identifying potential issues and proposing solutions
  • Coordinate regular reviews of product ranges, trends, and customer feedback to ensure commercial relevance and alignment with business objectives
  • Keep up-to-date with the latest retail and buying trends, supporting the team with commercial insights and recommendations
  • Maintain accurate records, spreadsheets, and reports, supporting management in making informed decisions
Commercial Awareness and Target Achievement Skills
  • Demonstrable understanding of the commercial retail environment, with the ability to interpret data and react to market shifts
  • Proven ability to work towards, achieve, and exceed targets consistently
  • Experience of managing or leading others in a retail, supply chain, or buying environment (team leadership, project coordination, or supervisory experience welcomed)
  • Confident and innovative in using data to influence buying, planning, and commercial decisions
