About the Role

Hays Education is delighted to be supporting a Pupil Referral Unit (PRU) in recruiting an SEN Maths Teacher to cover a maternity leave position. This rewarding role will see you working with KS3 & KS4 students who require a tailored approach to education, helping them develop essential numeracy skills while building confidence in their learning.

Key Responsibilities

? Deliver engaging and differentiated Maths lessons to students with SEN and SEMH needs ? Plan and adapt lessons to suit individual student requirements ? Support pupils in overcoming barriers to learning and achieving their full potential ? Work collaboratively with support staff and external agencies to create a positive learning environment ? Monitor progress and provide regular feedback to pupils, staff, and parents

Requirements

? Qualified Teacher Status (QTS or QTLS) ? Experience teaching Maths within a PRU, Alternative Provision, or SEN setting ? Strong classroom management skills and the ability to engage learners with complex needs ? An understanding of behaviour management strategies tailored to SEMH students ? A proactive, compassionate, and resilient approach to teaching
