Job: Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer
Location: Accrington
Salary: 44,075
Shifts: Monday - Friday Perm Nights (10pm - 6am Monday - Thursday / 7pm - 2am Friday)
Are you an experienced Multi-Skilled Maintenance Engineer looking to join a food manufacturing company based in Accrington? Ideally Engineers will have worked within a fast-paced manufacturing environment such as food or FMCG and will play a key part in minimising downtime, supporting continuous improvement, and ensuring a safe and efficient working environment.
Daily Duties:
- Perform planned, preventative, and reactive maintenance on systems across the site
- Quickly find and fix faults to reduce production downtime
- Work with the engineering team to improve machine performance and reliability
- Always follow health, safety, and food safety standards
- Keep accurate records of all maintenance work
- Assist with projects, installations, and equipment upgrades when needed
- Promote teamwork, problem-solving, and continuous improvement
Ideal Candidate:
- NVQ Level 3 or equivalent - ideally apprentice trained
- Experience in FMCG or food manufacturing
- Knowledge of pressure systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and mechanical drives with strong fault-finding skills
- Works well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
