A welcoming and inclusive primary school in Acton, Ealing is seeking a dedicated EAL Teaching Assistant with fluent Japanese language skills to join their team as soon as possible. This is a fantastic opportunity to support pupils with English as an Additional Language (EAL), helping them to access the curriculum and settle confidently into school life.
About the Role:
Provide in-class and small group support for pupils with EAL, particularly those with Japanese as their first language
Assist with language acquisition, comprehension, and communication skills
Work alongside class teachers and the SEN/EAL coordinator to adapt resources and lessons
Support the social, emotional, and academic development of pupils
Flexible working hours and contract lengths available to suit your circumstances
The Ideal Candidate:
Fluent in both Japanese and English
Experience working with children, ideally in a school setting
Patient, enthusiastic, and proactive with excellent communication skills
A genuine interest in supporting young learners and helping them thrive
Flexible and adaptable to meet the needs of the school and pupils
