We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Occupational Therapist Assistant to join our multi-disciplinary team. This is a rewarding opportunity to support the delivery of therapy programs that make a real difference in the lives of students in Acton.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the school's Occupational Therapist in delivering 1:1 and group therapy sessions
  • Assist with sensory integration activities and fine/gross motor skill development
  • Contribute to the assessment and monitoring of pupils' progress
  • Help adapt the learning environment to meet individual sensory and physical needs
  • Collaborate with teaching staff, therapists, and families to ensure a holistic approach
  • Maintain accurate records and assist with therapy-related administrative tasks

Person Specification:

  • A recognised qualification in Occupational Therapy Assistant practice (or relevant experience in a therapy or SEN support role)
  • Experience working with children or young people with special needs, ideally in an educational or therapy setting
  • Understanding of sensory processing and developmental challenges
  • A caring, patient, and adaptable nature
  • Excellent teamwork and communication skills
  • Willingness to learn and participate in ongoing training
  • Enhanced DBS (or willingness to obtain one)
