General Operative, Airdrie, £14.13/ph
We are looking for General Operatives to join our established night-shift team in Plains, Airdrie. This is a hands-on role focused on preparing the workshop for painting and production activities the following day.
As a General Operative, you will be tasked with:
- Cleaning, sanding, and filling surfaces in preparation for painting
- Applying masking tape and protective coverings to trims and edges
- Assisting painters by organising tools, materials, and equipment
- Setting up work areas and workstations for the day shift
- Cleaning and maintaining tools, paint equipment, and the general work-space
- Following all health & safety procedures to ensure safe use of tools and equipment
What you can expect:
- A pay rate of £14.13 per hour
- Night-shift work pattern: Monday to Friday
- Regular opportunities for overtime at enhanced rates
- Ongoing training & development
- Clear path to a permanent contract and long-term progression
What we're looking for:
- A solid work history and a strong, reliable work ethic
- Experience in a factory, warehouse, or production environment preferred
