We are currently seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Payroll and Accounts Assistant to join our Finance team at our Head Office in Airdrie. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual with payroll and general accounting experience who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys working as part of a team.


Key Responsibilities:


  • End-to-end processing of weekly and monthly payrolls for two companies

  • Pension administration and correspondence with providers

  • Managing P32 and PAYE reporting and payment requirements

  • Creating and issuing offer letters and employment contracts

  • Ensuring payroll procedures are consistently applied and compliant

  • Liaising with HMRC and handling payroll-related communications

  • Maintaining internal payroll-related systems and documentation

  • Supporting daily banking processes and bank payment creation

  • Performing reconciliations for banks, credit cards, and petty cash

  • Providing general finance support to the Group Financial Controller and Management Accountant

Key Requirements:

  • Prior experience working in a busy accounts department, with a strong focus on payroll

  • Professional and confident communication style

  • High attention to detail and excellent organisational skills

  • Ability to work effectively both independently and within a team

  • Strong IT skills, ideally including Sage 200 and Microsoft Excel

  • Comfortable working under pressure and meeting tight deadlines
