About the Role:
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Commercial Management Accountant to join our dynamic team in Redditch. This role is pivotal in driving financial performance and providing strategic insights to support business growth. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing financial operations, analyzing business performance, and contributing to commercial decision-making processes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Financial Reporting: Prepare and present accurate financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Budgeting and Forecasting: Develop and manage budgets, forecasts, and financial plans to support business objectives.
- Cost Analysis: Conduct detailed cost analysis to identify areas for cost reduction and efficiency improvement.
- Commercial Support: Provide financial insights and support to commercial teams, aiding in pricing strategies, contract negotiations, and business development initiatives.
- Variance Analysis: Analyze financial variances and provide explanations and recommendations for corrective actions.
- Compliance: Ensure compliance with financial regulations and company policies.
- Stakeholder Management: Collaborate with various departments to provide financial guidance and support.
- Ad-hoc Projects: Participate in and lead ad-hoc financial projects as required.
Qualifications and Skills:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field. Professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA) preferred.
- Experience: Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a similar role, preferably within a commercial environment.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency in financial software and Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel.
- Analytical Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail.
- Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Team Player: Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
