At Saint-Gobain Off-Site Solutions, we're transforming how we build - delivering smarter, more sustainable construction through our market-leading brands Pasquill and Roofspace.
We're seeking a talented Operational Financial Controller - a true business partner who turns financial insight into operational impact, working alongside leaders to guide decisions, unlock opportunities, and drive performance across a dynamic, multi-site business.
This is your chance to be right on the pulse of the operation, influencing real-time decisions and shaping the direction of two innovative construction brands.
The role is full-time with hybrid and flexible working options, requiring weekly visits to our Alcester team and occasional travel to operational sites across the UK, sometimes overnight.
What you'll do
As the Operational Financial Controller, you'll be the bridge between finance and operations across a complex, multi-site environment.
You'll lead a small but capable finance team, guiding their development while embedding a culture of curiosity, accountability, and continuous improvement.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Leading financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and controls across Pasquill and Roofspace.
- Partnering with operational leaders to turn financial data into actionable insight - explaining the "so what" behind the numbers.
- Driving cost and cash performance improvements through data-driven analysis.
- Ensuring strong internal controls and compliance within the Saint-Gobain framework.
- Supporting the optimisation of our ERP system and exploring new digital and process initiatives.
- Acting as the key link to internal and external auditors, and the Finance Shared Service Centre.
What we're looking for
You'll be an experienced finance professional - CIMA/ACCA/ACA qualified (or equivalent) - with a blend of strategic and hands-on experience. You're confident leading others, influencing non-finance colleagues, and simplifying complex financial information to support decision-making.
We're looking for someone who is:
- A proactive problem solver who goes beyond reporting to identify improvements.
- A strong business partner, comfortable working with operational teams across multiple sites.
- Curious and analytical, with the drive to optimise systems and processes.
- A clear communicator who can explain financial insight in a practical, engaging way.
- A leader who builds a transparent, accountable, and supportive team culture.
- Experience in a multi-site or manufacturing environment (including FMCG or other complex industries) would be an advantage.
