The Role:
- This is a newly created role offering a fantastic entry point into technical sales and business development
- You’ll be responsible for proactively managing and growing a portfolio of smaller house accounts — while working alongside the field sales team to break into key target sectors such as Automotive, Aerospace & Defence (AAD), Electronics, and General Manufacturing.
- This is a phone-first sales role that requires confidence, energy and an appetite for new business.
- You’ll be uncovering opportunities, qualifying leads, reigniting dormant accounts and bringing that crucial sales buzz to the office.
- Proactively manage a portfolio of existing house accounts, ensuring regular contact and identifying upselling or cross-selling opportunities.
- Support external sales managers by researching and prospecting into targeted verticals (Automotive, AAD, Electronics, Manufacturing).
- Make outbound calls and emails to generate new leads and secure meetings for the wider sales team.
- Follow up on inbound enquiries and marketing-generated leads, qualifying and nurturing as needed.
- Use the CRM system to log activity, manage pipelines and track progress.
- Work with their marketing team to feed into campaigns, lead-gen efforts and customer communications.
Requirements:
- This is an ideal opportunity for a junior salesperson or ambitious graduate with 1–2 years’ experience in B2B sales or customer engagement — or someone currently in a customer service role who is hungry to move into sales.
- We’re not expecting deep technical knowledge from day one — just the attitude, drive and commercial curiosity to learn fast and succeed.
- Strong communication skills — especially on the phone.
- A natural confidence and willingness to cold call and build relationships.
- Organised, target-driven and comfortable juggling multiple tasks.
- Good general IT and CRM/database skills.
- A genuine interest in technical/industrial markets (previous knowledge a bonus but not essential).
- A proactive mindset — this role rewards energy and initiative.
