This leading Cheshire business is looking for a Senior Proerty Accountant to join a busy team.

This is a great opportunity to join an established company in a busy fast-pased role where you can make a real impact.

They are looking for someone with exceptional organisational skills who can priotise work and understanding of budgets, reconciliations and variance analysis.

(9am to 5.30pm, 37.5 hours a week, Office based)

Responsibilities

  • Deal with all correspondence on a daily basis including payments, Solicitors’ cheques and emails
  • Check any payments in unallocated on a weekly basis and post to the relevant accounts
  • Input all new completion statements for residential properties when received from Solicitors, also Notice of Transfers and Notice of mortgages.   Update system with any changes to all residential clients. Liaise with Solicitors as and when required
  • Produce Service Charge invoices and Ground Rent invoices on annual and quarter days and send out
  • Receive and deal with calls related to invoices and statements
  • Prepare Service Charge Budgets each year in January, discuss with Property Managers and, once signed off, enter on the system and update the charges.  Uplift car parking charges and Licence agreements in line with RPI each financial year
  • Reconcile Service Charges each year within a time frame to allow auditors to check and produce their reports
  • Post insurance claim cheques/payments to the system when insurance claims have been settled.

The Person

Essential:

  • Accounts payable experience
  • Knowledge and experience critical
  • Good telephone manner, together with good communication both verbal and written
  • Good interpersonal skills
  • Ability to manage issues and escalate to manager as required
  • To work as part of a team at all times
  • To assist all departments as required
  • Exceptional organisational skills and be able to prioritise work
  • Understanding of Budgets, reconciliations and variance analysis

Desirable:

  • Experience of Service Charges
  • Good excel skills
  • AAT or other accountancy qualifications.
