Our client, a key player in the nuclear sector, is currently seeking a Welding Engineer to join them on a contract basis. This exciting opportunity supporting a major Nuclear project in Reading, offering a challenging yet rewarding role for individuals passionate about welding standards and quality within the nuclear industry.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensuring compliance with welding standards and regulations for nuclear projects
  • Coordinating welding activities in alignment with BS EN ISO 14731
  • Overseeing and contributing to the Quality Assurance processes
  • Collaborating with engineering teams to develop and implement welding procedures
  • Reviewing and approving welding documentation
  • Maintaining international certification requirements in welding
  • Providing technical guidance and support to welding operations


Job Requirements:

  • Holding or eligible for SC Clearance
  • Expertise as a Welding Coordinator according to BS EN ISO 14731
  • Experience in Quality Engineering within the nuclear sector
  • Certification as an IIW/EWF Welding Engineer or Technologist
  • International Certification in welding
  • Strong understanding of the nuclear industry and associated safety standards
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to high-quality standards
