 Electrical Systems Engineer – Automotive / EV

Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Electrical Systems Engineer to support short-term delivery across system definition, supplier coordination, and validation activities within an advanced automotive or EV programme. The role focuses on system-level electrical design and integration, not hands-on wiring or CAD, and is ideal for someone confident working between requirements, suppliers, and validation teams to maintain technical delivery and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Define and review electrical and functional system requirements.
  • Lead supplier and cross-functional discussions to align specifications and interfaces.
  • Support system-level integration and requirements traceability through to validation.
  • Review and contribute to DFMEA, test coverage, and verification planning.
  • Ensure designs comply with internal standards and functional safety principles (ISO 26262).

Ideal Profile:

  • Background in automotive or EV electrical systems engineering.
  • Proven experience with requirements and architecture tools (DOORS, Polarion, Jama).
  • Strong understanding of E/E architectures, HV systems, BMS, or charging systems.
  • Comfortable working with OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers on system definition and validation.
  • Pragmatic, delivery-driven engineer able to operate with minimal onboarding.

A systems-level thinker who can bridge hardware, software, and validation domains to ensure electrical system integrity and project continuity during a critical phase.
