A Day in the Life of a CPN:

Join our team as a Community Psychiatric Nurse working within a dynamic Crisis Team. This exciting role is ideal for professionals with psychiatric liaison or urgent mental health care experience. Your core responsibilities include:

  • Conducting urgent mental health assessments in community and hospital settings

  • Delivering crisis interventions, safety planning, and risk management

  • Collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to coordinate care and facilitate safe discharges

  • Managing a caseload of service users in acute psychological distress

  • Maintaining detailed and accurate clinical documentation

Requirements & Qualifications:
  • Current and valid NMC registration and PIN

  • Essential: Experience working in psychiatric liaison or mental health crisis services

  • Strong clinical decision-making and crisis management skills

  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment

  • Flexibility to work across a 7-day rota with long shifts

Working Hours & Contract Duration:

This is a full-time role offering long-day shifts (8:00 AM - 8:00 PM) across Monday to Sunday. The contract is initially for 3 months ongoing, with a strong potential for extension based on service requirements.
