Are you a Mechanical Design Engineer looking to work for a leading manufacturer that operates across 3 international facilities?

Would you like to work on cradle-to-grave specialist machinery design with a specific pathway to lead the department?

On offer is an outstanding opportunity for a talented Mechanical Design Engineer to join a leading specialist in the development of high-performance welding equipment and consumables for industrial applications.

The company is known for its innovation, quality, and engineering excellence, and is now looking to expand. The role comes with exciting opportunities to design bespoke machinery and occasional international travel, offering the opportunity to see your conceptual designs through to commissioning.

The role:

Lead the design, development, and delivery of special-purpose welding machinery
Manage multiple projects from concept through to build, installation, and commissioning (cradle to grave)
Produce detailed 3D CAD models, manufacturing drawings, and Bills of Materials
Engage in hands-on assembly and manufacturing support
Provide technical support during factory and on-site testing and installation
Participate in occasional overseas travel to support international clients or facilities

The person:

Strong experience in mechanical design for bespoke machinery or special-purpose equipment
Proficient in 3D CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks or similar)
