Hours: Monday - Friday 8:30-5pm
Salary: Up to £45,000 per annum
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Transport Planner to join a thriving and established logistics team in Aberdeen.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in domestic and international route planning as well as general haulage operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan and optimise transport routes across the UK and Europe to ensure cost-effective and timely deliveries
- Coordinate general haulage operations
- Managing road freight imports & exports
- Liaise with drivers, subcontractors, and customers to ensure smooth and efficient operations
- Resolve delivery issues, delays, or route changes in real time
- Provide support in sourcing and managing subcontracted transport when necessary
- Proven experience in a transport planner role, ideally within general haulage and both domestic and international logistics
- Strong knowledge of UK and European road transport regulations
- Experience with route planning software and TMS platforms
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
