Your new companyHays Recruitment are partnering with a key client to appoint an Assistant Accountant on a full-time, permanent basis. This is an excellent opportunity to join a leading business in the heart of County Armagh. You will be joining a fast-growing and collaborative business that supports and develops their staff to achieve their career goals.

Your new role

  • Managing all transactions within the finance department
  • Ensure all weekly, monthly, quarterly and yearly procedures are carried out effectively and efficiently
  • Maintenance of both sales and purchase ledger
  • Assist with Payroll processing
  • Responsible for collation, posting and reconciliation of month-end stocks
  • Assist with the preparation of monthly management accounts
  • Complete monthly balance sheet reconciliations and follow-up issues
  • VAT submissions, Intrastat, TSS compliance and Other Government returns
  • Assist with Cashflow Management
  • Assisting with the maintaining of the cost system on Sage
  • Monitor Financial Controls and implement changes where necessary
  • Work with external auditors at year-end
  • Support Finance Manager, General Manager and wider Management team in relation to accounts and reports they may need
  • Support accounts team and assist with ad hoc duties as required

QUALIFICATIONS:Minimum 2 years experience

Experience in Microsoft Office

Sage Line 200 experience desirable
