Your new roleAs an Assistant Accountant, you will work closely with the Finance Manager, taking on a diverse range of responsibilities, including:
- Maintaining and reconciling purchase and sales ledgers
- Processing supplier invoices, purchase orders, and payments
- Managing bank reconciliations and assisting with cash flow reporting
- Supporting credit control and debt management efforts
- Assisting with VAT returns, Intrastat, and RCT/CIS reporting
- Preparing journals and contributing to monthly management accounts
- Ensuring accurate balance sheet reconciliations
What you'll need to succeedTo be considered for this role, applicants should hold an Accounting Technician qualification (such as ATI or AAT) or be a part-qualified accountant (e.g. ACCA or CIMA) with relevant experience in a finance role. Candidates must demonstrate a positive and proactive approach, alongside a high level of integrity and confidentiality. A strong willingness to learn and grow within the position is also essential, ensuring adaptability and continuous professional development.
