Longfloor Field Support Technician (South)

Location: Home-based with travel required in Southern Region

Salary:Competitive

Hours:Full-time 37.5 hours per week

Established in 1927, Longcliffe Quarries Ltd is the UKs leading independent supplier of limestone powder, granules and aggregates. As one of the few remaining independent hard rock quarries in England, and one of the largest still family owned. We employ over 170 people, including those whose families also have worked with us for generations, and many of our employees have been with the company for over 25 years.

The Role

We are seeking a Field Support Technician, based in the Southern Region. This home-based role involves travel across a defined geographical area to support both stockists and installers, ensuring all requirements for the Longfloor product are met in terms of routine testing, quality control, customer trials, and product development.

Duties may be vary under the direction of the National Longfloor Manager and include:

  • Build key relationships with Longfloor stockists and installers at plant and technical levels and liaise with commercial teams as required.
  • Preparing customer reports on site visits and complaints as required
  • To be actively involved in development and research, plant trials and introduction of new Longfloor stockists.
  • Monitor product quality, collect raw materials for laboratory trials and adjust material performance if required.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Understanding of IT systems including Microsoft Office applications.
  • Team orientated with good oral and written communications.
  • Flexibility to undertake a range of tasks, work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Good knowledge and awareness of Health & Safety policies and procedures.
  • Good organisational and time management skills.
  • A proactive, flexible and collaborative can-do attitude.
  • Previous role within ready mixed concrete or materials supply sectors and laboratory experience (desirable)
