  • Prepare technical documentation for tenders, construction, and project close-out
  • Extract Bill of Quantities (BOQs) and fabrication drawings from BIM models
  • Liaise with clients, consultants, and site teams to ensure accurate implementation of fire protection systems
  • Attend technical, project, and coordination meetings in person and virtually
  • Review and resolve design clashes using Navisworks and Revit interference checking
  • Support lessons learned and continuous improvement initiatives across projects
  • Ensure all designs meet European and local standards for fire protection
  • Verify system designs for safety, performance, and regulatory compliance
  • Collaborate with QA/QC teams to maintain project documentation standards

Skills & Qualifications

Essential:

  • Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering, or equivalent technical qualification
  • Minimum 4+ years’ experience designing fire protection systems on large-scale commercial or industrial projects
  • Proficiency in Revit MEP, AutoCAD, and 3D hydraulic design software (e.g., AutoSPRINK)
  • Experience developing BIM models (LOD 200–400) and performing clash detection in Navisworks
  • Strong understanding of fire protection codes and standards (LPC, NFPA, FM, VdS)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Ability to read, interpret, and convert architectural and engineering plans into coordinated design models
  • Strong organisational skills with attention to detail, capable of managing multiple deliverables and deadlines

Desirable:

  • Fluency in German and ability to communicate design intent in German
  • Experience liaising with third parties such as VdS, TÜV, or local authorities
