Job Title: Field Reliability Engineer

Role Summary:
Due to ongoing growth and a strategic focus on enhancing operational excellence, Our Client is seeking a Field Reliability Engineer. This pivotal role is essential for bridging the gap between practical field operations and engineering solutions, ensuring that efficiency and safety remain at the forefront of wellhead operations. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to make a significant impact on product performance and reliability while driving continuous improvement initiatives.


Responsibilities:

  • Proactively identify potential challenges and collaborate closely with Operations to develop innovative solutions.
  • Provide rapid-response engineering support by designing safe, time-sensitive modifications and creating necessary documentation to maintain operational continuity.
  • Investigate field failures, assess root causes, and propose corrective actions.
  • Assess non-conformances and supplier deviation requests, issuing clear dispositions for resolution.
  • Conduct equipment qualification testing, delivering comprehensive engineering test reports.
  • Develop and validate test methods to ensure quality by confirming fabrication, assembly, and installation processes are adhered to.
  • Liaise with engineering teams to address design queries and product specifications.
  • Draft departmental specifications and documents as required.
  • Stay informed on updates to API 6A and API Q1 specifications, ensuring compliance with all certification standards.
  • Recommend design improvements and innovative processes to enhance product reliability.
  • Foster strong working relationships across various functions, including Supply Chain, Inside Sales, and Operations.


Essential Skills & Experience:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, preferably in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering.
  • At least 5 years of relevant experience in wellhead equipment, pressure control systems, or products governed by API 6A.
  • Proficient in ANSI, ASME, and ISO drafting techniques, along with knowledge of API/ISO product requirements and basic stress analysis.
  • Strong analytical, mathematical, and reasoning skills, accompanied by advanced computer literacy.
  • Previous experience in Lean Six Sigma or continuous improvement methodologies is advantageous.


Desirable Skills & Experience:

  • Familiarity with more advanced engineering software tools or project management applications.
  • Knowledge of further certifications related to engineering or quality assurance would be beneficial.
