Our client are a dynamic and growing civil engineering contractor based in Essex, delivering a diverse portfolio of infrastructure projects across the region. Our expertise spans enabling works, utilities, drainage, highways, rail, and general civils. With a strong pipeline of work and a reputation for quality and reliability, we are looking to expand our team with a skilled and motivated Construction Manager.

The Role:
As a Construction Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations on site, ensuring projects are delivered safely, on time, and to the highest standards. You'll work closely with project teams, subcontractors, and clients to manage resources, resolve issues, and drive progress across multiple civil engineering schemes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead site operations across a range of civil engineering projects.
  • Coordinate subcontractors, suppliers, and site teams.
  • Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations and company standards.
  • Monitor project progress and report to senior management.
  • Manage site documentation and quality assurance processes.
  • Liaise with clients and stakeholders to maintain strong working relationships.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent qualification.
  • Proven experience in managing construction sites within civil engineering.
  • Strong knowledge of enabling works, utilities, drainage, and rail infrastructure.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel across Essex sites.
