About the Role
Our client, Grelson Ltd T/A Marlowe, is seeking an experienced Multi Trader with expertise in aids and adaptations and level access shower installations (wet rooms) to join their highly motivated team.
Key Responsibilities
You will be responsible for carrying out all aspects of a Level Access Adaptation, including but not limited to:
Strip-Outs:
Isolating hot and cold feeds
Removing existing bath, tiles, and flooring
First Fix Plumbing:
Routing existing pipework out of the wet area
Running new cold feed to the shower
Wall Preparation & Studwork:
Dry-lining or bonding walls for tiling
Constructing studwork where required to house pipework and electrics
Tray & Flooring Installation:
Cutting floorboards to fit a Tuff Form Tray
Installing new gravity waste and connections
Laying 6mm plywood overlay in remaining floor area
Wall Tiling & Fixtures:
Tiling approx. 8m in the wet area and splashback on the basin (avg. tile size: 250mm x 250mm)
Removing and refitting the existing WC for new safety flooring installation
Second Fix Plumbing:
Fitting a new basin and semi-pedestal
Installing a new shower unit
Fitting standard 750mm wet room screens
Fitting of Grab Rails:
Communicating with the client to determine the best positioning
Finishing Touches:
Cleaning and sealing work areas
Note:Flooring and electrical work will be carried out by others.
Requirements
Experience in plumbing, tiling, and carpentry is essential
Must have own tools
Ability to work as part of a team and liaise with other trades and clients to meet completion targets
