Job Description:
Houghton and Son is seeking a highly skilled and experienced carpenter to join our team on a self-employed basis. The ideal candidate will have at least 10 years of experience in carpentry, with expertise in both first and second fix work. This role will involve working on various projects, including social housing developments in Chelmsford and Southend.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform first and second fix carpentry work to a high standard.
- Collaborate with other trades and contractors on-site to ensure project completion.
- Adhere to health and safety regulations and company policies.
- Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
- Communicate effectively with clients and team members.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in carpentry.
- Proven experience in both first and second fix carpentry.
- Strong attention to detail and craftsmanship.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent problem-solving skills.
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Own tools and equipment.
Desirable:
