About the Role

We are looking for a skilledJoinery Estimatorwith proven experience incommercial fit-outsto join my clients estimating team. This role plays a critical part in the successful delivery of high-quality joinery packages for commercial projects, including offices, retail, hospitality, and leisure spaces. The right candidate will have a deep understanding of bespoke joinery and fit-out processes and will be confident in producing accurate and competitive tenders.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed and competitive cost estimates for bespoke joinery elements within commercial fit-out projects
• Interpret architectural, design, and shop drawings to produce take-offs and pricing schedules
• Work closely with the pre-construction, design, and production teams to develop cost-effective solutions
• Engage with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain accurate pricing and availability
• Attend site surveys and pre-tender meetings when necessary to assess project scope
• Provide input on buildability, value engineering, and project delivery strategies
• Ensure all estimates align with project requirements, budgets, and timeframes
• Track costs throughout the tender and handover process, and assist in post-tender reviews

Requirements

• Minimum 35 years estimating experience within thejoinery and commercial fit-out industry
• Strong technical knowledge of bespoke joinery, materials, finishes, and manufacturing methods
• Demonstrated ability to interpret construction drawings, specifications, and joinery details
• Proficiency in estimating software, Excel, and general IT systems
• Excellent commercial acumen and negotiation skills
• Organised, methodical, and able to manage multiple deadlines under pressure
• Strong communication skills to liaise with clients, contractors, suppliers, and internal teams

Desirable

• Experience working on CAT A / CAT B fit-out projects
• Understanding of fire-rated joinery and regulatory compliance
• Formal qualifications in estimating, quantity surveying, or a related construction field
