We are hiring for an Area Sales Manager who has proven experience in B2B sales and account management within the print, packaging, or manufacturing sectors across the South of England. This is a field-based role within a leading UK supplier, and you will be developing existing client relationships while driving new business growth across your territory.

Duties of an Area Sales Manager

In this role, you will be working as part of the UK Sales Team to increase market share and strengthen brand presence. Reporting to the UK Sales Director, you will be responsible for:

  1. Developing and executing a regional sales plan to achieve business objectives and growth targets.

  2. Managing and expanding relationships with key clients across southern England and Wales.

  3. Proactively identifying new business opportunities through prospecting, networking, and client visits.

  4. Preparing quotations, negotiating pricing, and closing deals to maximise revenue and profitability.

  5. Collaborating with internal teams (marketing, production, and customer service) to ensure seamless project delivery and customer satisfaction.

  6. Maintaining accurate records of client activity and pipeline through the company CRM system.

  7. Attending trade events, exhibitions, and client meetings to represent the business professionally.

Skills and Experience of an Area Sales Manager

As an Area Sales Manager, you will need experience with:

  1. Proven B2B field sales experience, ideally within print, packaging, or a related industry.

  2. Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.

  3. Strong organisational and analytical abilities to interpret market data and trends.

It would be beneficial to the Area Sales Manager role if you also had:

  1. Experience using CRM systems and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

  2. Knowledge of the UK print, foil, or packaging industries.

  3. A full UK driving licence and willingness to travel regionally.
