German speaking Translation & Transcreation Specialist

Title: Native Standard German Translation & Transcreation Specialist
Location: Remote
Pay: 20 - 25 per hour
Contract: Full-time contract, 37.5 hours per week
ASAP start until the end of January 2026

About the Role
You will play a key role in shaping how this global retailer communicates with customers and colleagues across Europe. You'll translate and adapt a wide range of materials, from retail operations and training content to internal communications and brand messaging, ensuring everything feels natural, accurate and culturally spot-on.

What You'll Be Doing

• Translating and transcreating English content into German, ensuring clarity, consistency, and the right tone of voice.
• Maintaining brand glossaries, style guides, and terminology databases to ensure every message feels authentic and on-brand.
• Acting as the go-to language expert for the business, advising on linguistic nuances, cultural context, and communication improvements.

What We're Looking For

• Fluency in German (native level) and strong English communication skills (spoken and written).
• Proven experience in translation or transcreation.
• Excellent attention to detail with a love of language and culture.
• Strong MS Office skills and the ability to manage multiple projects at pace.
