We're supporting a leading investment bank as they build out the control framework for their strategic data platform within Market Risk. This sits within a wider transformation programme focused on improving the quality, traceability and control of risk data.
This role would suit someone who enjoys getting into the detail of data, has strong SQL skills, and can help define and measure control metrics, without directly building the controls themselves.
What you'll be doing:-
Supporting control development through analysis, helping to define metrics and assess data quality rather than coding or implementing controls
-
Performing deep-dive data analysis using SQL on large, complex datasets
-
Identifying and tracing data quality issues back to their source, including mapping data lineage where required
-
Producing dashboards in Tableau (Power BI or similar also suitable) to surface key control metrics and data quality indicators
-
Working closely with market risk, data and transformation teams to ensure controls are meaningful and reflected in reporting
-
Strong SQL skills and experience handling large datasets
-
Experience building dashboards that measure data quality or control-related metrics
-
Familiarity with data quality issues, including identifying root causes and suggesting fixes
-
Nice to have: Knowledge of asset classes (such as securities or OTCs), and experience with data lineage in a risk or controls context
