The client is a dedicated data centre delivery partner providing turnkey solutions to our clients, headquartered in Dublin and delivering throughout Europe.

The client specialises in providing turnkey data centre solutions, providing services from design, through to construction across the full range of civil, structural, architectural, mechanical and electrical services as well as commissioning.

The client has grown to become the leading and most trusted company in our sector and is the only dedicated Data Centre delivery partner in Europe.

We are currently constructing multiple turnkey data centre projects in 7 different European countries, equating to over 430 MW of IT load in flight.

We are pleased to announce that we are currently seeking a Health & Safety Lead to join our team.

Requirements

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, and environmental legislation, demonstrating adherence to the project delivery plan and in accordance with the Winthrop Technologies  Integrated Management System.
  • Ensure adherence to the Project Specific Environmental, Health and Safety Plans.
  • Co-ordination and participation in the development and review of task specific method statements, risk assessments, safe plan of action, permit to work.
  • Compliance with the project execution plan and implementation of Good Safety Practices.
  • Where required, lead and manage a wider EHS Team on the project to effectively implement an Industry leading safety culture.
  • Leading and growing the EHS safety culture through all project disciplines on the project.
  • Ensure positive Client facing interactions with prompt attention to observations.
  • Design and deliver safety focused information sessions  across all levels in order to drive high levels of safety awareness and actions.
  • Manage ongoing R.E.A.C.H assessments, control of hazardous substances and reporting on outcomes to senior management with recommended actions as necessary.
  • Ensuring that safety interventions are completed and registered.
  • Carry out regular site audits and inspection, document results and follow up on any corrective actions.

 Skills & Qualifications

  • Relevant Qualification in Environmental, Health and Safety.
  • Significant experience managing EHS on large-scale construction projects (data centre experience an advantage).
  • Proven experience in managing an EHS Team and ensuring project deliverables are met.
  • Experience utilising Autodesk BIM360 Field software an advantage.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Process driven and focuses on Integrated Management Systems implementation.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of current EHS legislation and best practices.
  • Proven ability to manage all environmental, health, and safety aspects on-site effectively.
  • Strong communication, leadership, and organisational skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Flexibility to adapt working patterns as project needs evolve.
  • Excellent attention to detail and a proactive, solutions-focused approach.
