They currently have an exciting opportunity for a BIM Manager to join their established Digital Design Management team, as their large and varied pipeline of major projects continues to grow.
The position can be based from any of our clients regional offices, with the large majority of work being able to be undertaken remotely.
About the role
This role requires the person to demonstrate leadership in the delivery of BIM and Information Management, with proven ability to engage and drive both learning and delivery across multidisciplinary teams.
Typical responsibilities will include:
- Fulfil the role of BIM Manager on projects that will range across the entire project/asset lifecycle (RIBA 0-7).
- Lead a combination of VDC offerings such as: clash detection, automated rule-based checking, visualisation (rendering, VR, AR), construction sequencing and costing (4D & 5D BIM).
- Create and maintain the projects BIM/DigitalExecution Plan in response to the clients requirements.
- Support our CDE Manager in configuringand maintaining the project's Common Data Environment, implementing processes and procedures to enable reliable information exchanges between stakeholders.
- Establish and manage the projects BIM Collaboration Platform.
- Implement digital technologies and other cutting-edge methodologies to ensure progress and continuous innovation in the delivery of digital projects.
- Plan and lead relevant kick off meetings/workshops to support the project delivery team implementing BIM.
- Provide Digital and BIM support across multi-disciplinary teams and the various business units.
- Capture lessons learned for future projects and implement improved workflows.
- Support the Digital Lead in the continuous improvement of current processes and procedures.
- Participate in the companys BIM working group to develop a multidisciplinary digital workflow across the company.
- Provide advice and support to teams regarding emerging technologies that will enhance and streamline their individual delivery processes.
- Contribute to the wider Digital Initiatives within strategic groups including data and AI development.
Skills & Experience
The successful candidate will be able to demonstrate their knowledge and experience of digital best practice and BIM, along with having excellent interpersonal and communication skills, coupled with an enthusiasm for team and self-development.
Essential Experience:
- 3D Modelling and analysis tools (Revit, Navisworks, Civil 3D, Infraworks, Tekla etc.).
- Practical experience delivering 4D / 5D models using appropriate software.
- Experience with the UK BIM Framework & BS EN ISO 19650 suite of documents.
- Experience within an AEC practice / environment.
- Demonstrable understanding of project processes, workflows and contractual obligations.
- Ability to author BIM/Digital Execution Plans.
- Experience developing and implementing Digital and BIM Standards.
- Management and delivery of clients information requirements on construction projects.
- Experience with multi-disciplinary teams integration on projects.
- Experience managing and configuring a variety of CDE process tools(Autodesk Construction Cloud, Viewpoint, Asite, Morta etc).
- A thorough understanding of the data, information management, BIM agendas within the UK and the standards and documents for implementation in engineering.
- Programming or application development experience may be advantageous.
- Experience with VR / AR applications.
- An awareness of BIM and GIS integration.
- An awareness of facilities management software requirements and integration.
- 4D Synchro Pro or other 4D sequencing tools.
- Civil 3D, Bentley ProjectWse, Aconex etc.
- Experience with VR / AR applications.
- An awareness of BIM and GIS integration (GeoBIM app; ESRI).
- An awareness of facilities management software requirements and integration.
